Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox are a professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The team was established in 1900 and is one of the oldest franchises in Major League Baseball (MLB). The White Sox have won three World Series Championships (1906, 1917, 2005) and six American League Pennants. They play in the American League Central division of MLB. The team's home stadium is Guaranteed Rate Field, which opened in 1991 and is known for its iconic exploding scoreboard. The White Sox are known for their black and white pinstriped uniforms and their logo, which features a silhouetted batter with a white sock on his foot. The team has a storied history, including the infamous "Black Sox" scandal of 1919, in which several players were accused of accepting bribes to lose the World Series.
